A childhood love of design and stringing necklaces together paved the way for Gold Clover Company. Today, Gold Clover Company strives to create elegant jewelry to accent natural beauty. A portion of all proceeds are donated to local philanthropy, and fellow Local vendor, The BEE Community.

Klae Design Co. is the product of two best friends, Elsie and Ariel, having a craft night in a tiny one bedroom apartment. Elsie had seen a pair of clay earrings and wanted to try her hand at crafting her own. The girls began making them and just couldn’t stop! In that night alone, Elsie and Ariel made over 30 pairs of earrings. After accumulating over 100 unique pairs, the girls knew they had to do something with all of their creations, and Klae Design Co. was born.

Working at a boutique and learning the ins and outs of owning a business was the inspiration and driving force behind RC Designs. Their beaded bracelets, rings, and pendant necklaces are a wonderful everyday staple, or that perfect game day addition. RC Designs also offers scrunchies, wooden frames, journals, and more.

Bluestem Accessories began when Masie, a teenager from Texas, created beaded jewelry for her and her friends. After seeing interest for custom orders from family members, church goers, and other friends at school, Bluestem Accessories took off. The name Bluestem is an ode back to where it all began; as Bluestem was the street name Masie’s parents lived on after getting married.

New to The Local this season is The Royal Weave. Polymer clay earrings with unique shapes and colors are sure to be the perfect statement accessory to spice up any outfit, even on those lazy days where throwing a t-shirt on is calling it good enough. In addition to clay earrings, The Royal Weave also offers fiber earrings, hair accessories, and woven and macrame wall hangings.

The journey to Beauty for Ashes has been a creative work in progress for years. Taylor, the founder of Beauty for Ashes, created friendship bracelets in high school, watercolor and calligraphy prints in college, and now post-college she crafts clay earrings of various colors, sizes, and shapes. To Taylor, it’s not just about selling earrings, it’s about encouraging others to find and explore their creative sides while engaging with the Father.
