Meet The Local's Fall 2019 Food Vendors

September 17, 2019

Picture this: Your pantry is low on Truffle Oil. It’s been weeks since you’ve had fresh chips and salsa. You’re wishing you had some fresh honey to sweeten your favorite tea. Or even an ice cream sandwich to keep you cool in this Texas heat. Lucky for you, you may recognize a few familiar faces (and products)  returning for the fall season of The Local.

HoneyPotDoc, comprised of husband and wife team, Jeff and Theresa, provides premium honey products and bee wellness services. The honey extracted from a small, 10-hive apiary, is 100% local, undiluted, unprocessed and pure. While honey is a timeless sweetener, it can be utilized for so much more. Pure honey provides immune system support, alleviation of allergens, along with being packed full of simple carbohydrates, natural vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants.

What’s Good returns to The Local this fall with their beloved ice cream sandwiches. With flavors like Bourbon Brownie, Banana Pecan, Fruity Pebbles, and even some dairy free options, there’s destined to be a flavor for everyone. Served weekly from the ice cream bike, how could you pass up this sweet treat?

Pain Train Salsa is a Local favorite and returns this season with their chips and salsas. Pain Train Salsa offers roasted red traditional salsas, creamy avocado salsas, along with their gluten free tortilla chips. Made fresh daily in Tomball, Texas, Pain Train Salsa only uses ingredients that you can easily say and spell. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Montgomery Gourmet Foods offers balsamic vinegars, truffle oils, infused oils and dressings. Striving to use quality Texas ingredients, all of Montgomery Gourmet Foods’ products are natural and gluten free. Grab a bottle of Sundried Tomato Vinaigrette or Roasted Garlic Oil to add a twist to your next recipe.

Chilesquiles is serving up the essential Chilaquiles Sauce used for the traditional namesake dish served in many Mexican homes and restaurants. Every jar is Texas-made and handcrafted in small batches with fresh, natural, and sustainable ingredients. Flavors include: Signature Red, Roasted Green, Homemade Chipotle, Grill Brava, and Molcajete Salsa. It’s okay, we won’t judge if you decide on all of them.

Join us at The Local and stock up on all of the food items you’ve been missing since last season! The Local will return on Tuesday, September 24 and will run for 12 weeks from 4 - 7 PM. Each market date will feature various vendors, live music, food trucks, and more!
